Neurones…..
Neuron Pathway Construction
Instead of bombarding you with text, we produced a mind map to explain how we go about this as it is a very complex subject matter. Hippocrates identified a stroke, he called it apoplexy in the 5th century BC, nearly 2700 years ago. What we know as a stroke is an infarction of the central nervous system tissue, there ate 4 type. I have had 1 Haemorrhagic and 2 Ischemic infarctions, or stroke.
The neurones are damaged, we have 87 Billion Neurones in your brain, with a total of 100 Trillion Neurone interconnections!!!!! Before you consider becoming a Neuro scientist, it does get simpler.
Let’s look at how brains wire up in the first place courtesy of Cambridge University.
Unlike a Brain Injury, for a Stroke an operation is very unlikely, and then only to stop the bleeding, job done. So it is usually medication to stop any bleed and then stroke avoidance after hospitalisation. It is then up to the patient and carer.
Thousands of hours, sometimes 6 hours daily, regular writing. I added art last, then my home made t’ai chi exercise. The watchers, I was not embarrassed I was to busy listening to my playlist ‘knaturalli knutti. Music to aid my walk with beat or bone/ear headphones work for me. It may or may not work for you. Ask the physiotherapist, psychiatrist or doctor for their input.
It is not a quick fix by any means, it took me 4 years, gradually others saw the change in my intelligence. I still have issues with short memory loss, there will always be permanent damage, but I know that. I respond to the external stimuli of art, music, exercise and writing, I don’t need to know how it works, I just know that it does. If I come back in another life I will start a band and call it ‘Chemical Synapse!

This is a mind map picture, shows random sequence , it is not in order of importance, you can decide that later.
Below is another explanation of how synapse work. This is the most famous song about mental illness….
my brain and face truly feels half frozen. After 7 years my rhs facing you, looks a tad younger.
In 1976 I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd. This was a time when your grandma was hot and knew how to party.
This was a time when we were anti war and the ‘coolest dudes’ on this planet. The human race will never be that cool again. Even now at 68 the hairs on the back of my neck tingle. Now I know why my central nervous system responds this way.
